What is Espresso Coffee?

Espresso coffee is a blend of coffee that is roasted and ground at a fine texture. An Espresso machine brews the coffee at a high water pressure producing a small amount of coffee. This method of brewing produces a concentrated coffee, which is called a shot. The espresso shot is generally taken alone or used to make other coffee beverages such as cappuccino, latte, macchiato, and Americano, among others.
